Michelle's career in Surety began 22 years ago in Mexico as a Sr. Surety Underwriter for Afianzadora Insurgentes (a subsidiary of Travelers at that time). After meeting her English husband 17 years ago on an airplane, she relocated to the UK and began searching for a new career.

Michelle’s experience prior to her return to Surety includes a demonstrated history working in global specialty markets in the insurance industry starting in the City of London in 2009. In this role, she generated and placed business across multiple continents. This ultimately lead her back to the Surety Market in 2013.

Her Postgraduate studies include Business Law and Administration focused on Surety Bonds and Guarantees I, II, III. Michelle graduated with honors from Universidad Panamericana “Pan-American University” founded in 1967.

She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and Finance from Escuela Bancaria y Comercial “Banking and Commerce School” (the first “business & finance” school/university in Mexico since 1929)
