Women in Surety is lucky to have a local guide, Emily Taherian, a Senior Client Advisor of Surety Underwriter at Marsh, present about the overall surety market, unique obligations, legal framework(s), and current events in Europe, including the DACH and CSEE regions. Emily Taherian was looking to expand her professional background, she moved from the United States to Germany in 2015 where she joined Marsh. In her current role, Emily supports the surety teams in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and CSEE (Central and Southeastern Europe) regions in Europe. Next to her professional career, Emily decided to go back to school to pursue her doctorate degree part-time. Her focus is on knowledge management within the surety industry. In her free time she likes to be with friends, ski tour, hike, and try new foods.
